Coach Randy is a former collegiate athlete and pro player turned elite coach. With experience leading top programs like Sports Academy Swish and Jason Kidd Select, he develops complete players with strong fundamentals, game IQ, and confidence.
About Randy
Coach Randy brings over a decade of elite playing experience and proven coaching success to every session, creating an environment where athletes grow both on and off the court.
As the Head Coach for Sports Academy Swish since 2022, he has led teams to compete at the highest levels of grassroots basketball, focusing on developing complete players — from fundamentals to advanced game strategy. Prior to that, he served as Head Coach for Jason Kidd Select and Team Golden City Warriors, helping numerous athletes earn opportunities to play at the collegiate level.
Before stepping into coaching, Coach Randy had a standout playing career:
- Division I athlete at the University of Massachusetts (UMass), competing in both basketball and track & field.
- Division II basketball at Elms College, where he was named to the 2008 NAC All-Tournament Team and played a key role in winning the 2008 NAC Men’s Title Championship.
- Went on to play professionally in the Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB) and for nearly a decade in the ABA with the Hartford Lightning and Springfield Slamm.
Coach Randy combines his experience as a high-level athlete with a passion for teaching, delivering training that builds strong fundamentals, sharp decision-making, and the confidence to compete at the next level. His ability to connect with players of all ages and skill levels makes him a trusted mentor and role model on and off the court.
